Ok people! David Cook is NOT dating Lacey Schwimmer! But I just want to know how this rumor even started. The American Idol contestants barely have time to sleep let alone sneak away from rehearsal and date!

And for everyone who supported David Cook but don’t support him now because of this rumor should be ashamed! David is still an amazing singer.

David Cook actually confessed on a talk show that there is someone special in his life. When the media is always catching him out on the town with Kim, you can’t help but assume he is referring to her.
If I was his manager, I would have strongly suggested he stay single, or keep his relationship with her on the down low. I know it’s very immature of the public to dislike him now, but he has lost numerous fans over this. It would have been a sacrifice worth taking in order to continue prestige and a mass quantity of album sales. Not to mention, if Kimberly really cares about David as a person, she wouldn’t mind being kept in the dark. If she is only after him for the spotlight, David will know before long.

This is such a publicity stunt. But a bad one if you ask me. She isn’t well liked by AI fans and not respected in the music biz. But I guess all Idol cares about is staying in the gossip mags.
What’s REALLY funny is that yesterday he was asked about what she sang on Idol. He had to admit that he’s not “familiar with her music” and he couldn’t name one song she sang. Uhhh…if he’s all into this chick don’t you think he wouldn’t have taken 5 minutes to Google her name by now? This was yesterday – AFTER their date and a week after he asked her out. And he supposedly wanted to meet her for a while before. Gimme a break.
