James asks…

First date advice please? How can I impress her? (girls please…)?

Just give me all the advice you possibly can on first dates… I know stuff like be myself and to be kind and the obvious stuff, but I mean like little known stuff that will impress a girl.

Dean answers:

‘kayyy…
Since its a first date dont go over board :] seriously itll get awkward xD
just be her friend, relax and talk and have fun, no like flowers or cheesy stuff like that OR being all over confident either >:[
just have fun andandand... If shes having fun too do something sweet like hold her hand :D (im still dying from going out first time with my friend yesterday...HOLDING HANDS IS A WINNER <3 LOL) :D
and be sweet too... Like not romantic per se just sweet :3 and make sure if you had fun to let her know how much you enjoyed being with her.
And also the word "beautiful" when telling her she looks nice is a winner. Also... Dont be shy ;D only if you really think that though

good luck :D

EDIT: i forgot to add. SILENCE IS OK TO HAVE. XD dont try and force conversation cause thats awkward, but dont let it go extremely long without convo either. But dont be freaked out if you guys fall silent for a bit, just relax and cherish the moment :] that'll go alllllong way in making it a fun day :3

Donald asks…

First date advice need to know what to do and where to take her?

I’m 14 what is a good place to take a girl out on a first date, nothing too expensive cause i ain’t that kinda dough. What should i do on the date so i don’t screw it up.

Dean answers:

The cinema. It has one main benefit. It is much easier to sit next to somebody when you are a bag of nerves, and watch a film than it is to keep the conversation going or even, get it started. It gives you time to get yourself together while the film is showing. By the time you leave the cinema, you don’t feel as awkward as when you went in.
One more good thing about it…the movie you watched gives you something easy to start the conversation with. But wherever you go the most important thing is that she enjoys herself.

Good luck! HUGS!!

Joseph asks…

Can you give me some first date advice?

tomorrow i am going on a date with this girl i met a few weeks ago at a workshop for the first time. we are going out to a sushi restaurant. what are some do’s and don’ts and other advice that you can give me? i’m excited but kind of nervous at the same time thinking about tomorrow.

Dean answers:

Just be yourself. :) Don’t try to pretend to be something you’re not. I mean if you’re kind of a clutz, then don’t act really graceful because she’ll see right through you. Just love yourself for who you are. But please, I beg you, don’t be so in love with yourself that you can’t focus on others! I hate when guys are like that!

Thomas asks…

First date advice for a 13 year old girl?

I’m going on my first date next Sunday and he’s taking me to a fair. I’m really nervous and I dint know what to wear/say/do.

Dean answers:

Wear something cute that doesn’t show too much (you want him to care about what your saying not just how you look). Just be yourself and have fun. Set up boundaries ahead of time (you don’t need to tell him what they are just have them in your head) and stick to your guns. Have fun girl.

Richard asks…

I am going on a my first date tomorrow any tips/advice?

I’ve hung out with guys but this will be my first real date any advice?

Dean answers:

Avoid stinky foods like garlic and onions. Drink water to stay hydrated- it’ll keep your lips moist and your breath clean. Brush your teeth beforehand.

Relax, be yourself and have fun.

Michael asks…

Does anyone have any first date advice?

I’m going on my first date (ever) tonight. Does anyone have any advice on what I should or shouldn’t do?

Thanks in advance

Dean answers:

Wear clothes you look good in AND are comfortable wearing. Especially shoes – nothing comes off worse that trying to wear shoes or clothes and constantly messing with them because they bother you.

Be calm and relaxed as much as you can.

Think of several topics of conversation to have so that anytime it gets awkward you can fill the silence.

Ask questions that can’t be answered with yes or no. Ask for details, and be interested in the answer. Most people love talking about themselves and love having an interested audience.

Go light on perfume or cologne. Wear something nice and flirty, but use it lightly. It is horrid to be on a date who smells like the bottle broke and they showered in musk. Put a little in your hair. It stays longer and smells better.

Brush your teeth, bring mints with you, and share them politely.

Ken asks…

Can someone give me first date advice please?

I’m seeing this bloke whos a friend of a friends boyfriend, we’ve been texting for a few days and i’ve seen him around but never properly spoken to him face to face. He’s asked me to go for drinks but i’m worried the conversation is going to be awkaward because I already know the basics about his family and interests and job from texting him practically non stop for 5 days and I’m worried there are going to be long awkward silences because we already know a lot about each other. Don’t know what to do?

Dean answers:

Well since u already know about his interests then talk about them !
Talk about the interests.. Like for example if he plays a sport ask him how its going and bring stuff up about it.. And about all ur interests as well.
And bring up movies you may have talked about etc..
Good luck (:
