William asks…
HELP ME….first date conversation?????
I have a date tonight with a guy I met online and emailed and talked to a few times.
We are going to meet tonight…so I need pointers on what to ask and talk about.
He said “be prepared with questions.” I thought that was kind of dumb to say, but would like suggestions from you fellow Yahoo Answerers.
Thanks!

Dean answers:
You could make it sort of a funny joking thing.
Get together and write down a bunch of silly questions, make a nice list and go down the list with your date. Surely some of the questions will spark some interesting debates, and if all else fails it’ll be funny.
Some ideas:
-If you had to be a woman for one day, who and why?
-What is the most interresting thing you can make me out of a napkin?
-Do you prefer cozying up by a fire or laying out in the sun?
-What type of food makes you nauseous and why?
-If you had to star in a sequel to a blockbuster movie, which one and why?
You catch my drift, just dumb silly questions that’ll make you laugh. All the intimate details will come out without either of you realizing! ;)

John asks…
Ladies, Isare there sexual boundaries on the first date including conversation, What are they?
n options never talk about sex on the first date
or act on the first date

Dean answers:
I think just stayin away from the topic of sex altogether would be the best idea. If she starts to talk bout it then cool beans. But don’t be the first to bring it up. Show her your interested in her for other things not just sex. Men offer to have sex with us everyday, we like to have a small break every once and awhile

Steven asks…
If a 4hr first blind date with great conversation ended with a hug, would a guy still think it was good?
I’m just curious bc he walked me home and I hugged him (date ended at 2am on Saturday) – it was kind of raining. He sent me a msg after he lefty saying goodnight and a happy face. Would most guys think it was negative because of the hug?

Dean answers:
A date with good conversation is a good thing. A hug is a good thing also. Anything else is between the two people as far as their comfort and feelings. This guy thinks that what you described was a good thing. Move at your own pace. Rushing into things is typically not the best way to go. That works for guys and girls.

Robert asks…
How do i keep the conversation going on my first date?
So i kind of asked a girl out to a movie and she is way out of my league i mean way out. I was shocked when she said she would. Anyways how do i keep the conversation going with her. I am really nervous but i think i can do it. Just try to give me some topics on what to talk about.
We might go to the mall in case you guys say we’re watching a movie but we’re also going to the mall when its done or before

Dean answers:
If you click you shouldn’t have to ‘keep the conversation going’.
It should come on it’s own.

George asks…
First date conversation topics? How do I keep her interested?
I’m a hideous frog, but an absolutely GORGEOUS woman just called me. I gave her my number 3 days ago, and pretty much forgot about it the next day…She’s SOOO beautiful, and friendly….What’s the best way to not drop the ball on this one?

Dean answers:
Confidence and humor will make any woman swoon.
I know it’s cliche, but be yourself and be comfortable. Women can pick up on any insecurity, no matter how small.

James asks…
What good conversation starters can I use on my first date?
I am scared that our conversation would just end like that because we have nothing to talk about and then it just gets awkward.
Please help my date is on Saturday :)
Thanx~!

Dean answers:
Use everything around you. The food, restaurant, people, and place can be good conversation starters if you start it correctly. Some typical topics include job, place they come from, favorite shows.. Other topics depend on the age but these are general enough for any age bracket that dates. Also, try to pick a fun and interesting activity for the date so that the things you do are fun in themselves and it never gets dull.
Good luck.:D

Thomas asks…
What’s some good conversation starters on a first date?
I already know were i’m gonna take her and all that, but the only thing i’m worried about is coming across boring. I’m kind of shy and I’d rather not come across as boring and have a bunch of awkward silences. Anyone have any suggestions on topics to bring up?

Dean answers:
Compliment one of her accessories. This is how a convo could go:
B: Hey, I like your blah blah blah.
G: Awww, thank you.
B: Where did you get it?
She will either answer: *Mall
* Place she travelled to
* It was a present
If answer was mall: Oh, well you have good taste, if you could dress me, what would you do? It will start a pretty funny conversation.
If answer was a place she travelled to: Ask questions about that place or if you have been there, compare your time with her.
Present: Who? Are you close to them? You can have a long convo about family and friends.
You just have to be creative and pick simple elements which can lead to a big convo.

Richard asks…
How to avoid awkward conversation on a first date?

Dean answers:
Talk about your day and go over funny stories in your head before you leave.
Whenever he says something, laugh like a small chuckle, so he doesnt feel stupid, or try to respond with something good.
Or say “really?” alot.
Talk about the plae where you are
slag it off in a joking way, say “Omg i was here the other week and someone dropped popcorm on this girls head”
or in a restraunt “oooh.. How fancy is this! I feel soo important lol”
just relax and go with the flow, its good if ou talk about whats happening around you.
Xx
