Just ask him to play the question game with you. It always makes for an interesting and fun night for me. Just take turns asking questions about each other. Each question you ask you have to answer too. This way you tend to avoid anything that might make you both uncomfortable. Start with something simple like your favorite color. By the end of the night you’ll wonder where the time went and be more relaxed because you’ll have spent your time thinking up questions, not about your shyness. You can comment on her hair and how nice it looks. From there, you can ask her where she gets it done. Then from there you can angle that subject and branch it off it so many ways. You can comment on her nails if she does the, then ask where she has those done and why she does them. You can pretty much take any object, thing, or element around you can begin a conversation with that. All you have to do is spark the idea. Don’t forget, she does the talking too. She is also going to want to talk about herself so that she can basically throw you a sales pitch for a future date, should the current one go well.

I would take it as her being interested, since I wouldn’t be asking questions if I wasn’t feeling the guy at all.

Just have a good time. Because my brother was such a snot when he was 16 My parents didnt even allow me to have a drivers permit while i was in school, and dressed me in dorky threads to boot. Heck I even had a 10:30PM curfew on non school nights .
