Robert asks…
Which date is it appropriate for a woman to pick up the tab for dinner?
When should a woman pay for dinner?
A date I had the other night disagreed with me on this one. I thought I would see what everyone thought. I asked a woman to pick up the tab since I have taken her out a few times or at minimum, go dutch on the date.
I took her out for coffee on our first date and then to lunch on the second date. We work together and she earns more than I do. We had coffee in the break room and the second lunch date a vendor bought us lunch. I didn’t actually pay for either since they were both free but she earns more.
I finally got her out to dinner and took her to Sizzler for steak. When we got up to the cashier, I asked her to pay for her meal. She said I was cheap. I would like to sort this out because I really want to get in this girls pants.
What do you think?

Dean answers:
Dude, you are cheap as Sh*T…..She is 200 percent correct.

James asks…
First Date Ideas & who pays? … (2 questions)?
Im 21, he’s 25. We are going out for the first time tomorrow, what are some good first date ideas of stuff to do. And also who should pay. (Im a very liberated woman and don’t mind paying). If we do more than one thing tomorrow evening, do I pick up the whole tab one thing, then the next thing he picks up the tab?
Dont forget the first question:
What are ideas of what we can do???

Dean answers:
To answer the first question, stick with a place where you both will feel comfortable and easy with each other. If your having dinner, choose a place that sets the mood you want to be in with this man. Second, if you feel like you should pay then do so. In this day and age I feel like women should take more financial responsibility in the dating scene… There is nothing wrong with going dutch. If he refuses to let you pay, just be polite and let him, but you can add that the next time it will be your treat… Not only does it segway into another invitaion, it will let him know that you appreciate his gesture, but you don’t expect him to pay every time. Good Luck.

Ken asks…
The first date, was it good for her?
So we had our first “date” tonight. I drove about a hour or so to go up to her in NYC. When I arrived she seemed very talkative. Shortly after I arrived we went to a pizza place on stone street and ate, talking of course, then after the bill was paid (which I picked up the tab), we talked for a good hour at the table still. She laughed, pushed her hair back many times, was very talkative, and made eye contact with me a lot.
After dinner she walked me around the city for a half hour, showed me where she worked then went back to my car and gave me a hug (she hugged me when I arrived too). I offered her a ride home, which was 4 blocks away, but she said I would get to confused in NYC with the streets and she would be okay.
Does it sound like she is interested and had a good time? Her voice was a talkative high pitch and she told me quite a bit about her. What is you opinions on the date??

Dean answers:
It went pretty well. Girls over-talk when we are nervous so it means that she was obviously hoping you would like her. From your description, it sounds like she was flirting a lot, so that also points to good signs. If she showed you where she works, that’s also good because that means she wants you involved in her life. The final touch was when she gave you a hug before she went. If she didn’t like you then she would have shaken your hand. No decent girl is going to give you a peck on the cheek until at least the third date. Not that I’m guaranteeing that she likes you or anything, because she may just be interested in you as a friend, but it sounds like your chances are pretty good. Don’t be offended that she didn’t want you to take her home. Girls just like to be safe about who knows where they live. Good luck on date number 2!!! :)

John asks…
who should pick up the tab on a first date?
If we went out to dinner, who should pay? can the 2 ppl just split it?

Dean answers:
I say it depends on who did the asking. If I asked a guy out on a date (we live in a day and age where it does happen) then I would pay for the date. If he asked, he’s paying.

George asks…
Does anybody else have internet explorer shut down on you in the middle of opening another tab?
Lately, My IE has been shutting down when it tries to open up an new tab from a link on the first tabbed page. I do not have any popup blockers on, my antivirus is up to date and running show no viruses, and I have cookiies enabled.

Dean answers:
Hey if you have internet explorer 7 and a seperate pop-up blocker that could be causing it, most likely not a virus, try uninstalling your popup blocker, as internet explorer 7 has a built in one
