what are some good first date topics?
I am going to hang out with a co-worker of myn and we dont really know much about each other at all. I believe we are just hanging out as friends for now, but i just want to avoid some of those occasional awkward silent moments, so i was wondering if you guys know any good first date topics that usually get a girl interested or talking.

Dean answers:
Ask her about her interests, what she does for fun, “favorites” (favorite food, movies, bands, TV shows) talk about her family, her hometown, just be sure to balance the conversation. If one person talks the whole time, it makes it super awkward. Hope this helps!

First date topics?
I’m going on a first date tomorrow. We’re going to for a short drive in his truck to VT. (We both live in NY) Then we’re going back to his house to watch some movies. We’ve been talking for a few days on the phone. But I’m just wondering since we pretty much covered the basic topics, what could we talk about in the truck?

Dean answers:
If you like each other, the date will just flow naturally. There will be no need for a list of topics.
Joke around, look at the scenery, listen to music and ask questions
If your not sure if you like him just go with the flow. Bring up some of the things you enjoy and see what he likes and what hes interested in. I’m sure there will be a lot to talk about. Be nice and try to make him feel comfortable. Smile and act like your happy to see him.
It’s not good to plan your date. It will make you nervous.

Good first date topics of conversation?
What are some good first date topics of conversation? We’ve spoken for the last few weeks and we’ve already went over all the BS like what shes into and what she does and all that crap, i need some fresh ideas. and don’t tell me to be myself, i have a terrible personality, if anyone knew the real me they would run for the hills.
Also do you think taking a girl to a firing range for a first date is sexy? I’m a sniper shot so i know ima kick ass their and ive heard a lot of girls find it sexy to shoot guns.

Dean answers:
I don’t think this is anything you can really plan. Though I would have to say, based on your question….”If anyone knew the real me they would run for the hills”….it sounds like you have a good sense of humor. A FORCED conversation is going to feel forced and will be a major turn off. So I would say, if you already know all the BS regarding her likes and dislikes, why don’t you do a little research on her favorite things and just expand the conversation? IE: If she LOVES the Rolling Stones, throw out some interesting Rolling Stone facts…this will always spark some deeper conversation and she will be impressed that you are educated on a topic that is of interest to her.
