what is the maximum allowable residential rental application fee in florida?

today i just paid a $60 fee for each application for both myself and my girlfriend. at a total of $120, i cant help but think that we are being a bit overcharged for something that doesnt even guarantee that i will get the home. in california, the max legal allowable fee per application is $42.06- does anyone have an idea on what the max fee per application in florida is?

A background check needs to be done for a job application. is my girlfriend classed as my partner?

Basically I am applying to be a Police Community Support Officer, and quite extensive background checks need to be carried out.
Me and my girlfriend do not live together but have been dating for around 8 months now.

On the forms it is asking for partner details (DOB, full name etc) and some background information on the partner’s immediate family.
Do i need to be living with her or with her for a certain amount of time before she is classed as my partner? Or should i put her details down?

I just dont want to include any unnecessary information that may delay the background checking process…

Should I use my girlfriend as a reference for a house rental?

I’m wondering if I should use my girlfriend as a reference on a housing application. I already plan on asking one of my coworkers, and I was trying to think of other people to ask, but most of my friends are applying for the house with me. I could ask another of my coworkers, but we don’t know each other that well, and I don’t want to use two coworkers from the same family (I work at a family run business, so they’d both also be my bosses)

Any thoughts on this?

What are my options for a lease with my girlfriend when she failed the credit check?

My girlfriend and I are getting an apartment together. She failed her credit application and thus has to go on the lease as an occupant. I passed my check with flying colors and such we are getting the apartment.

I would like to safeguard myself should something go sour in the relationship. Is there anythign I can do so as to protect myself? I have the money to cover the rent should someting go wrong but I would like to avoid that with a lease type document.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there an application for Google Android that tracks GPS locations online?

I am going to be out of town for Christmas and I want to surprise my girlfriend by driving back home. I am interested in an application that will post my GPS location and path online, so that I can map them on my web server for her to see.

I looked but I can’t find any application that seems to have this functionality.
