It is quickly replacing the traditional approach as thousands of people each day choose to go this route.

Dean answers:

Yes, if you are lucky, you can get a good partner on the net but has too many problems, because the nature of dating. Their are too many people using it for the wrong reasons. Some are there to scam, to cheat so it has it’s own disadvantages. On the advantage side it helps by screening all the things you desire and you will find someone of your taste.

Richard asks…

What are you experiences with internet dating?

I have just added myself to a couple internet dating sites…
Has anyone had good or bad experiences with internet dating sites…

Dean answers:

My best friend met her husband through Match.com. They just got married this fall, and are a fantastic couple together.

I also have a cousin who met her current boyfriend from an internet dating site as well.

I know of others too who have met their spouses online and they are all really happy together.

Its a good way to get to meet people who have similar interests and life goals as you. Its a lot faster than traditional dating since you know right away whether or not they ever want to get married or have a family, whether or not they are a smoker, or social drinker etc.

But the important thing is to be safe. Don’t give out your address or home phone # until you have met the person a few times. – I wouldn’t even recommend meeting them until you have emailed back and forth a few times.

When you meet them in person, choose a public place, and make sure someone you trust knows where you are, and when you will be back – just in case things go wrong.

Most of the time it a great thing, but it is still smart to be careful.

Joseph asks…

How can I get my mom to start internet dating?

She is always complaining about getting a man, and she says she doesn’t want one at the same time. I want her to try internet dating to make her feel happier and STOP ANNOYING ME! Help

Dean answers:

You should let her find a man the way that feels natural for her. If she doesn’t want to date over the internet, her heart might not be in it and it won’t work. Just say, “Mom, if you REALLY want to find a man, why don’t you create a profile on one of those dating sites? You don’t HAVE to meet with the men if you don’t want to, but at least make a profile and see what happens.” Don’t try to push her into something that she doesn’t want to do.

David asks…

What does it mean when a woman puts this on her Internet Dating Profile?

the phrase, “I’ve made some mistakes in the past……”

I see this frequently on different internet profiles of women on some dating sites that I frequent. Especially in the christian sites. What gives? I mean what’s a guy to assume when he reads something like that?

Dean answers:

It could be that they cheated during previous relationships. It could mean that they did not pick the best guy in previous relationships. It could be that they are just trying to convey the fact that they are not perfect. You would have to ask each woman what they meant.
